WHAT TO WEAR: NEW YEAR’S EVE

Finding an outfit for New Year’s eve can be a particularly irritating process so I figured I’d help you out. I lean toward a more glam look for New Year’s Eve so instead of going for jeans, why not splurge on that fab cocktail dress you’ve been lusting after? Don’t worry, this list is heavy on the glitter (and light on what you really should avoid).

1. Free People Shimmy Shimmy party dress

Perfect for dancing the night away! Maybe refrain from doing the shimmy though.

2. Vintage look fringed flapper dress

If you’re going to one of the 600 Great Gatsby parties happening on New Year’s Eve, wear this and call people “old sport” a lot and you’ll be right on theme.

3. Cecilia De Bocourt beaded pearl cutout dress

Cutouts add a playful air to the sophisticated beading. It’s a little expensive but hey, might as well ring in the new year in something luxe.

4. J. Crew Pixie pant

I am a huge supporter of the tuxedo pant and as far as I’m concerned, jeans are just not appropriate for NYE. This is a slightly classier alternative.

5. ASOS cami top with chain detail

Add some flair to the simple tuxedo pants.

6. Lulu Guinness glitter Fifi box clutch

What’s more fun than cramming all your shit into a tiny purse? Nothing (good luck finding your cell phone)!

7. Lipsy dress with embellished skirt

An otherwise simple dress makes a statement with a sequin skirt. Plus, oxblood is very in this season.

8. Lovely strapless dress

This dress is very festive because it makes your boobs look like a present!

9. Kate Spade New York charm slingbacks

You can never go wrong with a pair of classic slingbacks and these are covered in glitter. Even better!

10. Unconditional Tuxedo Jacket

Something for the guys. Maybe a tux is a little much but pairing a tuxedo jacket with jeans classes up an everyday look. Set yourself apart from the t-shirt and jeans mafia. There are few things women love more than a well dressed man.
