The Best Looks From The 2016 Met Gala

As per usual, the stars came out in droves for the Met Gala tonight. This year’s theme was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology so think futuristic, architectural, is your dress 3D printed? You’re right on message. Of course everyone was decked out in their finest and shockingly, people actually seemed on board with the theme this year. Here are some of the best and most on theme looks from fashion’s biggest night of the year!

Poppy Delevigne in Marchesa. Poppy interprets the futuristic theme in an upgraded version of the nude dress that was so popular at last year’s gala.

Kate Bosworth in Dolce and Gabbana. Kate looks so ethereal in this intricately beaded number. Snapchat, can you make a Kate Bosworth at the Met Gala lens?

Zoe Saldana in Dolce and Gabbana. Proving that you don’t have to be decked out in futuristic black and silver to stay true to theme.

Beyoncé in Givenchy. When is the last time anyone was able to compile a best dressed list without including Queen Bey?

Rita Ora in Vera Wang. Go ‘head, Becky. This is #alook.

Nicole Kidman in Alexander McQueen. I am so happy to see Nicole Kidman back in the game. She can still make a red carpet statement, y’all!

Karlie Kloss in Brandon Maxwell. Karlie rocks these daring cut outs like it’s no big deal. Meanwhile, I am shaking/screaming/crying.

Kate Hudson in Versace. The architectural style of this dress definitely fits the theme. I feel like Kate flies under the radar at these events even though she consistently serves up red carpet realness.

But it was Claire Danes who won the night in this unbelievable Zac Posen. This gown was so next level I can’t even handle it. I’m a sucker for anything that lights up. The only way this dress could be improved upon is if it played Lemonade every time she moved.
